About the museum
The Tatabánya Museum is housed in the Vértes Agora building on Szent Borbála tér. Its permanent exhibitions present the history of the region from prehistory onwards using multimedia displays. The museum’s collection holds more than 200,000 objects related to the history of industry, everyday life, politics, archaeology, ethnography, art and the natural sciences.
The Régészeti Látványtár (archaeological display storage) can be visited with a guided tour and by prior arrangement.
