About the museum
The Vértes Múzeum, also known as Csákvár Emlékház (Csákvár Memorial House), is housed in the former Csákvár fire station building with a fire tower and in two former flats next door. The permanent exhibition presents an early 20th-century house, and Csákvár’s nationally renowned speciality, pottery.
Temporary exhibitions, events and children’s sessions are also held in the four exhibition rooms of the former fire station. Visits are subject to a charge. The museum is run by the Vértes Múzeum Baráti Köre Egyesület (Vértes Museum Friends’ Association).
