About the museum
The Ecomuseo del mare in Tortoreto opened in 2017 and holds a collection of historical and natural pieces and mementos of the seafaring tradition and of Tortoreto’s society. The collection was donated to the municipality by a cultural association and had previously been displayed in the Museo della cultura marinara, set up in 1998 at the Tortoreto lido (beach area) and active until 2015.
