About the museum
The Fucina Zanghellini stands at Villa Agnedo, along the Chieppena stream, and is documented from 1859, although it was probably active earlier. The blacksmith’s trade remained in the Zanghellini family for generations.
The forge closed in the 1970s. Shortly afterwards, at the wish of Paolo Zanghellini, the building was converted into a permanent museum of work tools and blacksmiths’ products, to tell the story of his ancestors and keep alive the memory of a trade that many have forgotten.
Visits are arranged with the person in charge. The forge is a venue of the Museo diffuso della Valsugana orientale and of the Ecomuseo della Valsugana.
