About the museum
The gallery was founded in 1975 thanks to a donation by the painter and collector Enrico De Cillia, to which a further donation was later added. It is housed in the Palazzo della Biblioteca, a 19th-century building in Treppo Ligosullo, and belongs to the CarniaMusei network.
The collection documents De Cillia’s artistic career, 20th-century Friulian art and contemporary artistic research. Among the artists represented are, alongside De Cillia, Sironi, Pignon, Pittino, Zigaina, Davanzo and Someda. The gallery also hosts temporary exhibitions.
