About the museum
L'angolo della memoria is the peasant museum of Stigliano, housed in the historic centre and open to the public free of charge. It holds household items, domestic and working tools, traditional costumes and a large stone frantoio (oil press), gathered and arranged by Rocco Derosa and Antonio Fanelli, which allow visitors to trace the village’s past.
In addition to the display section there is a typical peasant house, fully restored and furnished, and a documentation centre with texts and images of local and regional historical interest.
