About the museum
The Accadia civic museum opened on 14 August 1999 in the old village, near the Torre dell’Orologio (Clock Tower). The collection is based on the studies of Professor Erminio Paoletta.
The route spans four rooms and a basement excavated below ground. The first room is dedicated to classical antiquity; the second hosts lectures and cultural meetings and can also display medieval finds; the third combines classical objects with modern art and presents three traditional trades (shoemaker, carpenter, blacksmith); the fourth mainly holds finds from the early modern period. The basement displays objects from rural and craft life.
