About the museum
The museum is dedicated to Attilio Fedrigo (1902–1992), a collector who from the 1950s gathered fossils for scientific and educational purposes. In 1988 Fedrigo donated his collection to the municipality of Sona (Comune di Sona), so that it could form the basis of a civic palaeontology museum housed in the municipal library.
The route presents hundreds of fossils spanning about five hundred million years, from the Primary Era (Palaeozoic) to a few thousand years ago. Among the finds are trilobites, graptolites, orthoceratids, ammonites, gastropods and remains of elephants and other prehistoric mammals.
