About the museum
The museum occupies several rooms in the historic centre of Staffolo and is dedicated to the winemaking tradition of the area. The route displays tools and implements used for processing grapes and preserving wine.
Among the most important pieces are an old oak press with a stone base, carved by hand in 1695; a 19th-century wooden corking machine (rana tappatrice); a bottler in hand-blown glass; and barrels, vats and tubs.
The museum has an attached wine shop where wines from local producers can be bought; themed evenings on wine and gastronomy are held during the year.
