About the museum
The museum is located in the 18th-century Palazzo Ancajani, in the village of Tenaglie in the municipality of Montecchio. The collection includes working tools, objects of everyday life and machinery of local origin, arranged by use. It illustrates the life of farmers and the long struggle of people against nature.
The same palace also houses the municipal Antiquarium (site museum), with finds from the Umbrian-Etruscan necropolis of Fosso San Lorenzo (7th–4th century BC). The museum has a teaching room and offers guided tours.
