About the museum
The museum is in Civitella del Lago, a hamlet of Baschi, and holds thousands of painted and carved eggs from the national competition exhibition “Ovo Pinto”, launched in 1982 on an idea by Anacleto Bernardini. The competition is held every year around Easter.
Since 2005 the collection has also included eggs from many animal species. The decorations are geometric, floral, religious and secular; among the works are pieces dedicated to Futurism, Dante Alighieri and Alberto Sordi, as well as works made by students.
