About the museum
The museum is housed in Palazzo Merolle-Felluca, on Corso Tulliano in Arpino, and is dedicated to the tradition of letterpress printing in the town. The core of the display consists of the machines, furniture and equipment of the Tipografia Editrice Fraioli, bought by the Municipality of Arpino to preserve the memory of this activity.
The route presents tools linked to every stage of movable-type printing, from typesetting to the casting of lead and the reproduction of images. Some panels illustrate the origins and development of the typographic art, the history of printing in Arpino and the story of the Fraioli family.
