About the museum
The museum collects evidence of the farming and craft activities of the Montoro area. It is located in San Bartolomeo, one of the smallest hamlets of the municipality, where agriculture was predominant.
The new site is an old rural building from the early 20th century, typical of the homes of landowners and among the last of its kind remaining in Montoro Inferiore. The building has been fully renovated and spans several floors: the exhibition rooms are on the ground floor, the library connected to the museum is on the first floor, while the attic is used as a workshop for the recovery and restoration of objects. The basement is used as a store for the artefacts, and in front of the building there is a space that can serve as an exhibition area in summer.
The building has visitor toilets and access for people with disabilities.
