About the museum
The Lodi museum grew out of the Bergognone art school, founded by the artist Angelo Frosio in 1975 and regarded as his natural starting point. The space describes itself as a workshop for experimentation, in which art is a tool for recovery and socialisation, following the principle that making art means transforming matter and giving dignity back to everyday things.
The venue is a restored and re-fitted former kindergarten in Liberty style. The rooms display works by pupils of the Bergognone school and works by twentieth-century artists, among them Enea Ferrari, Ugo Stringa, Hsiao Chin, Maiocchi, Pollini, Agnetti and Piero Manzoni.
