About the museum
The museum opened in 2008 in Palazzo Bordoni, an 18th-century building in the historic centre of Montelupone. The route follows the evolution of photography from 1839, from the mid-19th century to the digital era.
The collection grew out of the work of two private collectors, the Roman reporter Adriano Andreani and the photographer Vincenzo Marzocchini. It includes around 700 cameras and movie cameras from the 19th and 20th centuries, from all over the world, kept in excellent condition and in working order.
Alongside the devices, around 800 photographs by Italian and foreign masters are on display, with particular attention to the Marche region and to society in the mid-20th century.
