About the museum
The Pinacoteca civica “Patrizio Gennari” is on the first floor of the Palazzo Comunale (town hall) in Moresco, in Piazza Castello, a building largely renovated at the beginning of the 20th century. The main works are in the council chamber, reached through a corridor with ceilings decorated in Liberty style.
The most important piece is a large panel of 1529 by Vincenzo Pagani, showing the Madonna in glory with the Child and the saints Lawrence, Roch, Sophia and Nicholas of Bari. Next to the altarpiece hangs a canvas of Saint Sophia from the church of the same name, along with some minor works by unknown authors.
