About the museum
The villa was built for Primo Carnera, born in Sequals in 1906, at the height of the boxer's success as world heavyweight champion. He spent the last years of his life there with his wife and two children, and today the building is a house museum run as part of the Ecomuseo Lis Aganis.
On the first floor there is an exhibition of photographs, films and objects connected with the champion's life, while the rooms keep the original furnishings of the 1960s and 1970s. Visitors can also see the gym where Carnera trained, where films of his public and private life are shown.
The house is open only in spring and summer; in winter it remains closed. Guided tours can be arranged with the Comune for groups.
