About the museum
The Angelo Museum opened its doors to the people of Šiauliai and to visitors on 6 September 2014. Its collection is based on the angel sculptures gathered by Rytis Milkintas; the first exhibit was a porcelain angel that Rytis received from his grandfather when he was seven years old.
The museum's holdings comprise more than 500 exhibits: angels from the 18th century to the mid-20th century, works by folk artists and works by contemporary artists, as well as a sacred painting collection that has recently begun to take shape. The exhibits can not only be viewed but also touched. The museum offers 12 educational programmes for children of different ages.
