About the museum
Rosvoll prestegård on Smøla has been home to the priest since 1749. The present main building was erected under a building contract dated 24 May 1880, in the time of Ole Olsen Moe. The priests lived here until 1972, when a new vicarage was built by Edøy church.
Smøla municipality owns the property, and Smøla museum runs it together with Rosvoll prestegårds venneforening (Friends of Rosvoll Parsonage) and Rosvoll grendalag (Rosvoll village association). In summer there is an open sales exhibition and café, and the farm shows exhibitions on the history of canning on Smøla, a natural history collection with stuffed birds and animals from the shoreline, and Gullik Dahlstedt's photo exhibition about fishing villages on Smøla.
