About the museum

Ullinsvin lies on a small rise by the centre of Vågåmo and consists of 13 buildings, most of them protected. The rectory is an art and cultural history farmstead where Gudbrandsdalsmusea shows exhibitions and arranges cultural programmes. Innlandsarkivet (the Inland Archive) and Folkemusikkarkivet (the Folk Music Archive) are also based here, in addition to a book collection and a modern store with around 13,000 cultural-historical objects.

The paternal side of the artist Edvard Munch's family belonged to Ullinsvin and lived in the rectory for over 80 years, and the café on the farmstead is named Edvard. The historic rectory garden has a herb garden, a perennial bed, a rose bed and a rock garden with various trees and shrubs.

In the summer season the Aurbu farm shop sells local food in the middle of the farmstead, and Galleri Ullinsvin sells art, handicrafts (husflid) and local crafts.
