About the museum
The mother of the world-famous artist Andy Warhol was born in the village of Miková. The village has now given this memory of the family a form in the memorial room.
Most of the room consists of panels recounting the life story of Júlia Varcholová – from her birth, through life in Miková and the journey to America, to her life there. Artefacts complement the story. A notable exhibit is the original costume from Miková, which was restored on the basis of research by Petra Toth.
Viewing is by telephone arrangement, and entry is voluntary.
