About the museum
The Muzej Dravograd (Dravograd Museum) is one of four units of the Koroška Regional Museum (Koroški pokrajinski muzej). Since 2010 a department of cultural and art history has operated in Bukovje Manor, and in 2012, with a new decree establishing the museum, the Dravograd Museum unit was set up.
The permanent exhibitions of the unit are spread over several places. In Bukovje Manor there is an exhibition on the Barons Kometer of Pukštajn (1817–1932). In the exhibition rooms of the tourist information office in the centre of Dravograd, a collection on the history of the Dravograd market town has been on display since December 2007. In the basement of the municipal building the former Gestapo cells have been arranged, and in Libeliče there are exhibitions on the events of 1922, on rural life and on food culture.
Most of the displays can be viewed by prior arrangement; individual visits to the Gestapo cells and the Libeliče exhibitions are not possible.
