About the museum
The Museo Arqueológico de San Fulgencio brings together finds from the sites in the municipal area, above all from the Iberian settlement and sanctuary of La Escuera and from the site of El Oral, which includes the necropolis of El Molar. The objects on display cover roughly the 6th to 3rd centuries BC, and some are of Greek origin.
The museum opened in 1995 and was closed for more than fourteen years. In January 2021 the town council announced that it would reopen on 1 February, after the space had been cleaned, the pieces of the permanent exhibition had been prepared and labelled in Spanish and Valencian, and the building's safety had been improved. The museum is on the Plaza de la Constitución, in the town centre.
It has an educational room for school groups and creative workshops.
