About the museum
The Museo Etnológico de Tales occupies a former mill in the old quarter, in one of the oldest buildings in the village. It is one of the thirteen mills the village once had. The building keeps its original layout, which has three floors.
On the ground floor is an olive oil mill with two presses: the smaller one is the mill's original, and the larger was bought second-hand when the mill passed to a company of 24 partners. The upper floors show a 19th-century dwelling, traditional clothing, utensils and farm implements. The objects were donated by residents of Tales. The collection has the status of a permanent museum collection.
