About the museum
It is not long ago that the typewriter was a matter of course in every office, but since the digital revolution, analogue office machines have become rare. At Nässjö Kontorsmuseum they have been preserved, and visitors can follow the development from mechanical calculating, accounting, calculation and typewriting machines to today's computers.
The collection consists of well-known brands such as Addo, Facit, Halda and Odhner and dates from the late 1800s onwards. The museum has a reconstructed office from the 1930s and a workshop from the 1950s. Local revue history and Nässjö motifs by the artist Arne Fager are also shown there.
