About the museum
The Perslund local heritage farm, also called Lindesgården after its last owners, is one of the district's principal examples of an enclosed Scanian half-timbered farm (kringbyggd skånsk korsvirkesgård) with roots in the 1700s. The farm originally stood by Björnekulla old church. After the enclosure (enskiftet) it was dismantled and rebuilt stone by stone and beam by beam, first at Skogsvägen and then on its present site in Perslund.
One of the buildings was moved to Perslund in the early 1950s and became Åstorps Hembygdsförenings first house, called Stugan (the cottage). When the Linde siblings had died, the rest of the farm was donated to the association in 1977. A few years earlier a Dutch windmill (holländarmölla) had been moved to the area. It had previously stood in Höör and later on a hill in Åstorp, and it has been renovated since 2018.
Most of the farm is a museum with several houses. In the half-timbered farm there are, among other things, a photo room, Stora salen (the Great Hall) in the old loge, the old kitchen with an open fireplace and bread oven, Gammelsalen (the old parlour), a 1950s room and an upper floor with objects from home and crafts. Outside there is also a smithy, a stable, and buildings with a school, toys, sport, railway and farming. The association owns and runs the farm on a voluntary basis.
