About the museum
Sagaboden MC-museum is in Dikanäs in Vilhelmina Municipality, along Sagavägen. The museum is run by Kenneth and Birgitta Andersson, who started it so that they could stay in the village. Kenneth began collecting motorcycles at the age of eleven, and then people began coming to look at the collection.
The museum has over 50 motorcycles and about twenty vintage scooters from all corners of the world. Most of the motorcycles come from the county and the villages around Dikanäs, and the range goes from wartime veterans to Harley-Davidsons. Besides the collection there is an exhibition of everyday objects (bruksföremål), a craft shop with Sámi handicrafts, and a Norrland café and food service with overnight accommodation.
