About the museum
The museum was opened on 9 October 2010 by Dersut Caffè in Conegliano, near the company's headquarters. Since 2013 it has been part of the Rete dei Musei Trevigiani and since 2018 of Museimpresa; it has the patronage of the Comune di Conegliano.
The route covers about 600 square metres on two floors and follows the coffee supply chain “from the plant to the cup”. It opens with an air-conditioned greenhouse with Coffea arabica plants and continues with the history of roasting, grinding and the coffee pot, up to the evolution of the espresso machine. On the first floor are three roasters: a German model from 1880 and two Italian ones from 1910 and 1950.
On the upper floor a tasting and training room houses the company's training centre, with theoretical and practical courses for customers and future operators, dedicated to the culture of Italian espresso. The museum also keeps the company's historical archive, with documents and photographs.
