The exhibition presents finds from thirty years of rescue archaeological excavations in Poland, from the Palaeolithic to the early modern period. Four thematic routes lead through the construction of infrastructure, the growth of towns, the protection of flood areas and agricultural land.

The exhibition at Galeria Śluza tells the story of Poznań's Ratajach district, which celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026. It shows architects' plans and residents' everyday life, mainly from the PRL period, through archive photographs and memories.

The exhibition introduces the sculptor Franciszek Black, co-creator of the Grunwald Monument, and his connection with Sienkiewicz, who also dealt with the theme of the Teutonic Knights. It shows the museum's collections, the Muzeum Narodowe w Poznaniu and the Biblioteka Polska in Paris.
